Here at KidZone Christian Preschool, we understand that you may have some questions about the school. Please refer to some of the most frequently asked questions below. You can also click here to download our current Parent Handbook.

What grade does your campus go to?

KidZone Christian Preschool takes children from the ages 2-5 prior to Kindergarten. On our campus we have an Elementary and Junior High school from K-8th grade, called Santa Fe Springs Christian School. Please see the link for SFSCS to find out more about furthering your child’s Christian education on the same campus.

What if my child is not toilet trained?

At KidZone Christian Preschool, we understand that toilet training is a process, not an event. The children at KidZone are at different stages in this process. Your child is welcome to wear diapers or pull ups to school if they are under 3 1/2 years old. We do ask that you provide the necessary supplies (diapers, wipes, change of clothes, etc…) that your child will need. The preschool has a child-sized toilet located in each classroom, and the teachers are always available to help children who need it. There is an additional fee for children who are not completely potty trained (refer to financial sheet). When your child has been accident free for one full month, we will gladly remove the fee.

Are there tuition reductions if my child is sick or on vacation?

We are unable to issue credit for illness or any other type of absence. The only credit given will be vacation credit that has been earned. After you have had your child enrolled in preschool for 1 year (12 months) in the 5-day program you qualify for one-week vacation credit. Vacation credit is only offered to students that attend 5 days per week. Vacation credit cannot be accumulate.

If it is necessary to withdraw my child from school and how much notice does the school need?

Our policy requires that a two-week notification be submitted in writing when withdrawing your child. Families who fail to notify the office will be charged for the two weeks.
Why do you charge more for a 2 year old or young 3 year old class?

The ratio in these classes are six children to one adult. In our older classrooms, the ratio is twelve children to one adult.

How do I decide if my child is ready for Kindergarten?

As a parent, you are the best judge of whether or not your child is ready for kindergarten. Our Director and teachers regularly visit the kindergarten classes and are familiar with the teachers, curriculum and expectations of kindergarten. They are a wonderful resource and enjoy talking with parents about the questions they might have in deciding whether or not to place their child in kindergarten. Enrolling your child at KidZone Christian Preschool is a wonderful step in preparing him or her for kindergarten. We have regular parent conferences to help you with this decision.

How do I get more information and/or set up a site visit?

Please use the contact information on the prospective parent information side to email the Director and set up a personal tour of the facility.

When is tuition due?

Tuition is due by the 1st of the month and is late if paid after the 5th. A late charge of $35.00 will be assessed on the unpaid balance of an account after the 5th of each month. If tuition is not paid by the 10th of the current month, your child may not return until paid in full. A parent will be asked to withdraw the child from school if payment is late on a consistent basis. Unpaid balances are subject to collections.

What happens if I pick up my child late?

Please make every effort to be on time. If you are on the Full Day plan you will be charged $1.00 per minute after 3:01 pm, and the same applies for our All Day plan. If you are later than 6:01 pm you will be charged $1.00 a minute.
